Full Job Description

Primary Function

The Bookkeeper / Payroll & Reporting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and generating and interpreting reports that ensure data integrity across the firm’s systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational visibility. The position requires the ability to learn and effectively use Clio and LegalServer CMS, with a strong emphasis on reconciliation, reporting accuracy, and identifying discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting-related roles
Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting
Strong proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
Ability to learn and effectively use software systems, including Clio and LegalServer CMS
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity
Working knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Familiarity with trust/IOLTA accounting requirements
Experience with Gusto or similar payroll platforms
Experience building or improving reporting systems and dashboards
