Overview

Join Home Instead -Crystal Lake as a Non-Medical Live-In Care Professional in a private home setting!

Compassionate support and proactive care make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This role offers an energizing opportunity to provide personalized, respectful, and comprehensive care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As a vital member of the caregiving team, you will foster a warm and trusting environment while ensuring all client needs are met with professionalism and kindness.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Gait Belts and Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and observe residents’ health status by noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately through our documentation portal.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Support residents with reminders for medication, following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect privacy and confidentiality.
Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging residents in social activities and facilitating communication to enhance quality of life.
Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings using appropriate client transportation methods.
Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, emergency response procedures to ensure resident safety at all times.
MUST HAVE Reliable Transportation and Valid Driver's license
Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Experience

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments preferred
Demonstrated ability to observe patients carefully, and recognize signs of distress or changes in condition related to dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Knowledge of care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs for residents with dementia or memory care requirements.
Familiarity with patient transfer techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance is essential.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and office teams while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
