Full Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

The Opportunity

MBC is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavior Analysts, and administrative staff. The SLP will contribute to our multidisciplinary model and support our commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse client population. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and feeding abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's and family's unique strengths and needs.
Collaborate with MBC leadership, BCBAs, and interdisciplinary team members to implement treatment plans that address specific functional goals.
Provide intervention to improve speech intelligibility, including articulation, fluency, motor speech, and vocal hygiene.
Deliver therapy to enhance receptive and expressive language skills, including syntax, vocabulary, semantics, and pragmatic language, utilizing spoken, written, and AAC modalities as appropriate.
Provide feeding therapy targeting oral-motor skills, swallowing, sensory needs, and food variety.
Educate and support clients and families in understanding communication and feeding disorders and implementing strategies to promote carryover across home and community settings.
Maintain timely, accurate documentation and adhere to all ethical, clinical, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
Current state licensure or eligibility by start date.
Demonstrated competence in speech-language evaluation, care planning, and treatment implementation.
Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs in various settings such as home, school, and clinic settings.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and MBC team members.
Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, and follow up skills.

Preferred:

2+ years of experience providing speech-language services to pediatric populations.
Experience with AAC, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, feeding disorders, and Gestalt Language Processing.
CPR certification.
