LWH CPAs is a growing public accounting firm with three offices across East Central Illinois. We combine the close-knit culture of a local firm with the diverse client work and technical depth of a larger regional practice.

Our clients include businesses, individuals, estates and trusts, governmental entities, and nonprofit organizations. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced tax professional seeking meaningful client relationships, a broad range of complex work, and a clear path for long-term growth and leadership.

Job Summary

The Tax Senior or Tax Manager will prepare and review complex tax returns, support tax planning and advisory services, and develop strong client relationships. This role also includes tax research, project management, and collaboration with staff, managers, and partners to deliver timely, high-quality service.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.

· Provide tax planning, research, and advisory support to help clients make informed decisions.

· Manage client communication, deadlines, notices, and planning opportunities.

· Review staff work, mentor team members, and help lead engagements.

· Salary range of $80,000-$140,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

· CPA license required.

· Five or more years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax.

· Experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns.

· Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

· Experience with tax preparation and research software such as UltraTax, SurePrep, Co-Counsel, and Excel is preferred.
