Full Job Description

Overview
We are a civil law firm based in Charlotte, NC. Our primary practice areas are business law, general civil litigation, HOA law, real estate law, family law, and estate planning.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper and Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical and administrative skills as well as be personable and technologically savvy. This role is essential for ensuring smooth office operations and providing excellent support to our staff and clients. The amount of pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software.
Manage accounts payable (paying bills/vendors)
Manage accounts receivable (sending invoices and tracking payments)
Process deposits
Time entry management
Maintain general ledgers and financial records
Prepare quarterly reports
Organize and maintain financial documents and records
Communicate with clients about billing and payments
Handle incoming calls and client intakes, emails, mail and correspondence
Perform clerical tasks including filing, client data entry, and scanning

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting and/or billing role.
Strong proficiency with accounting software.
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
Experience handling accounts payable & receivable processes.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
