Full Job Description

Lee Construction Company of the Carolinas is currently taking applications for a Welder/Fabricator position with our company. We are a bridge contractor that works in North and South Carolina. The job would require some travel with a company truck and welder to splice piling on our bridge sites. It would also require you to have a NC and SC certified welding certificate issued by the DOT. If you do not have a DOT certification we can arrange for you to take the welding test at a DOT facility.

Must have a certification on file as a "Certified Welder" for pipe, pile or other steel to be welded. May weld misc. steel items for pipe support structural systems when required. May cut and weld pipe and/or supports or make alterations using oxyacetylene welding equipment. May fabricate steel as necessary. Reads and interprets plans. Willingness to work on heights or in trenches is essential. For the right candidate, we can assist with obtaining certification.

Exerting 50-125 pounds of force occasionally and 25-50 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Required to lift, carry, push and pull in standing, walking, sitting positions. Wear PPE as required to complete the task safely.
Agility, coordination and alertness are necessary for work near heavy equipment and traffic. Ability to follow instructions and adjust to flexible work schedule.
