Full Job Description

UNDERSTANDING
This team member uses communication tools to refine information provided by technical experts and presents documents to the user for the effective and efficient understanding of developed product, processes, standards, and policies. By using various software resources, the team member uses creative language and visual representations to provide a clear and easy to understand document about complex and/or confusing subject matter.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Operational Manager
Strong working relationship with users of developed materials
Communicate regularly and have a strong relationship with multiple departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create, review, edit, and approve documents that define product, process, standards, protocol, or policy
Provide clarity of documents created by using software tools and technical knowledge to provide the user with the best opportunity to understand the information provided
Review developed processes, systems, standards, and practices for translation into necessary documents or for alignment with current defined documents
Collaborate with specialist to clarify technical intent and possible improvements for better understanding with the user of the product/process/standard/policy
Evaluate and determine types of documents necessary for efficient and effective understanding by the user
Maintain document revision control practices
Create and maintain document template standards
Support and provide technical knowledge for training resources
Gather feedback from users for improvements to document content and standards
Continuously work to improve department practices and identify tools to measure and improve performance
Develop and implement practices in accordance with ACG policies and regulatory requirements
Support outside department projects with similar activities and training
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated experience in writing technical documentation
Must be a self-starter and needing minimal oversight
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Must be detailed oriented.
Must have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be able to speak, read and write in English
Highly adaptable and quick to learn new software systems and technical applications.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required
B.S. in Communications or technical degree preferred
