Full Job Description

Contract Administrator

Duties/Responsibilities:

Reviews contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
Draft contract revisions and negotiate changes
Assist in preparation of contract based claims and dispute resolution
Familiar and up to date with insurance requirements as they relate to contracts
Be familiar and up to date with lien rights for all states in which we operate
Revise Quotes and Purchase Orders with favorable/neutral Terms & Conditions to accompany all initial pricing proposals
Insert Subcontract Rider containing acceptable key risk allocation clauses
Identify the major risks in agreements
Attach the rider OR insert pre-drafted clauses on a plug & play basis
Coordinate and participate in special legal projects
Pull out any safety related items and send to the Safety Director
Request COIs, process and organize them for each project.
Request and follow up with subcontractor COIs.
Pull out billing requirements, save in software, and send to the Accounting Manager
Maintain an organized work environment
Manage voluminous files, heavy document management
Communicate verbally and in writing
Excel in high pressure situations
Follow up on tasks until completed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Maintain relationships with the customers, principals, and subcontractors
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear manner
Consistently complies with all company policies & procedures
Understands and promotes company culture and accountability

Required Skills/Abilities:

Interpersonal, customer service, and negotiation skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to read, understand, and draft contracts
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions to work with minimal supervision

Initiative to anticipate additional needs before they arise
Possesses a positive, professional attitude at all times
Proficient with negotiating win-win scenarios
Experience with factual research, document analysis, filings, drafting documents, coordinating document production

Education and Experience:

3+ years' experience
