Accounting clerks are responsible for assisting in all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and preparing deposits. Accounting clerks must act with integrity and strictly adhere to all accounting policies and procedures for auditing purposes and to ensure the financial success of the business.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Processes Accounts Payable invoices, matching the purchase orders to the invoices.
Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
Allocation of invoices to correct department.
Scans all invoices prior to posting.
Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds.
Processes daily bank deposits.
Processes check runs for payment of invoices.
Answering e-mails and phone calls about past due invoices.
Processes credit memos for our customers.
Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
Processes journal entries.
Audits sales orders against purchase orders.
Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.

Required Accounts Payable and Receivable Qualifications and Skills

High degree of accuracy
Great attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Proficiency in mathematics

Education and Experience Requirements

Associate degree in related field
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

This position is required to be onsite. 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.
