Full Job Description

$115K–$140K + Annual Discretionary Bonus | Hybrid Opportunity

RC&C is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our tax practice.

This role is for a public accounting professional ready to take greater responsibility for tax engagements, client relationships, staff development, and review work while working closely with managers and partners.

Responsibilities

Supervise and review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and trust tax returns
Manage tax engagement workflow, deadlines, and client information requests
Review work prepared by staff and senior accountants
Assist with tax projections, planning, and consulting matters
Research federal and state tax issues and make recommendations
Respond to tax notices and client questions
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters
Train, mentor, and provide feedback to staff and seniors
Manage multiple tax engagements concurrently
Work closely with managers and partners on complex tax matters and client service

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
4–7+ years of public accounting tax experience
Experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns
Experience supervising or reviewing staff work
Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
Strong client communication and relationship-management skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills

Preferred

CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Strong tax planning and projection experience
Thomson Reuters UltraTax experience

We are looking for a Tax Supervisor who can take ownership of engagements, develop staff, work directly with clients, and continue progressing toward a manager-level role.
