SUSHI CHEF for Pacific Palisades

We are looking for highly experienced, professional sushi chefs who are passionate and detail oriented. The ideal candidate is committed to the art and craft of sushi, and has the knowledge and skill set to lead and develop our team of talented Sushi Chefs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing Prep Schedule, Orders and Daily inventory
Work with the team to ensure proper set-up and stocking of stations with all necessary supplies
Preparing for service (e.g. vegetables, preparing fish, rice and sauces)
Ensure that all Blue Ribbon recipes are maintained at the highest level of quality and consistency
Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a high quality and timely fashion
Work with the team to portion prep work for other shifts
Monitor product freshness and rotate product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
Maintain a positive and professional approach with the team and guests
REQUIREMENTS

Positive attitude, friendly, great personality, passionate
Must have minimum 3 years experience working with behind a sushi bar
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Strong leadership skills
Familiar with industries best practices
Must be able to follow all safety, health and sanitation procedures
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds at a time on a regular basis
Strong communication and time management skills
Must be 18 years or older

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
