Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Catering/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring that all food safety standards are meticulously followed. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and catering services will help deliver exceptional dining experiences for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a team dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices.
Follow strict safety standards during food production, handling, and storage to maintain a safe working environment.
Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety management protocols to prevent contamination.
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food, setting up serving stations, and assisting with presentation.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietary aides to ensure timely meal preparation and service delivery.

Skills

Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or food industry settings.
Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning.
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures.
Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations.
Familiarity with food safety management systems and adherence to hygiene protocols.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
