Passy-Muir, Inc. is a medical device manufacturer located in Irvine, California. We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Communications & Creative Services Manager to lead the company’s marketing communications, creative production, brand presentation, advertising, publication, website, convention, and social-media activities.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who can both manage marketing projects and personally produce high-quality design and communications materials. The ideal candidate has strong graphic design, print production, digital marketing, website, and project-management skills, with the judgment needed to work in a regulated medical-device environment.
Position Summary
The Marketing Communications & Creative Services Manager will be responsible for developing, producing, coordinating, and maintaining Passy Muir’s marketing and brand materials across print, digital, convention, website, internal publications, and social-media channels. The position will also coordinate with outside magazines, vendors, printers, web resources, and internal departments to ensure that Passy Muir’s communications are professional, accurate, consistent, and completed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Advertising, Print, and Publications
- Create, update, and manage advertisements for trade magazines, industry publications, websites, and other advertising channels.
- Serve as Passy Muir’s point of contact with magazine representatives, advertising vendors, printers, and publication contacts.
- Develop and maintain internal publications, newsletters, announcements, employee communications, and company presentation materials.
- Prepare print-ready artwork, layouts, files, proofs, and production specifications.
Graphic Design and Creative Services
- Create and maintain professional artwork for brochures, product literature, instructions for use materials, inserts, packaging-related artwork, convention displays, banners, signage, and related marketing materials.
- Use Adobe Creative Cloud and related tools to create production-ready files for print and digital use.
- Maintain consistent brand standards across all materials.
- Manage file organization, version control, source files, final PDFs, and artwork archives.
IFU, Labeling, and Regulated Materials Support
- Assist with artwork and layout for instructions for use, product literature, technical materials, and related documents.
- Work with quality, regulatory, clinical, engineering, sales, and management teams to ensure that product-related materials are accurate and follow Passy Muir’s review and approval process.
- Ensure that marketing and product materials are not released or changed without appropriate internal review and approval.
Website and Digital Communications
- Assist with updates to Passy Muir’s website, including content, images, product pages, announcements, downloads, and general presentation.
- Coordinate with outside web developers or internal resources as needed.
- Help improve the company’s online presence, search visibility, and digital consistency.
Social Media and Digital Marketing
- Develop and manage a practical social-media calendar for appropriate Passy Muir channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other approved business platforms.
- Create professional social-media content, including posts about company news, conventions, capabilities, quality, manufacturing, employee recognition, industry updates, and approved product-related content.
- Track basic engagement and recommend improvements.
- Ensure that social-media content is professional, accurate, and reviewed before publication.
Conventions, Trade Shows, and Events
- Support convention branding, booth graphics, signage, layout planning, promotional materials, printed collateral, and event-related communications.
- Coordinate with convention vendors, booth providers, printers, and internal stakeholders.
- Help ensure Passy Muir’s trade-show presence is organized, professional, and consistent with brand standards.
Project Management and Vendor Coordination
- Manage multiple creative and marketing projects at the same time.
- Coordinate deadlines with magazines, printers, vendors, trade-show providers, web contractors, and internal departments.
- Maintain schedules, project files, artwork approvals, proofs, and final deliverables.
- Recommend improvements to Passy Muir’s marketing systems, templates, digital assets, and brand consistency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, graphic design, creative services, digital marketing, advertising, or a related role.
- Strong portfolio showing print advertising, brochures, digital graphics, trade-show/convention materials, website graphics, publications, or similar work.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, print production, digital formatting, image resolution, color, file preparation, and brand consistency.
- Experience creating or managing content for websites and business social-media channels.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Strong project-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Photography and photo editing background.
- Ability to work in-person in Irvine, California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, B2B marketing, or another regulated industry.
- Background working with IFUs, labeling artwork, technical literature, product brochures, or regulated product communications.
- Proficient in WordPress or another website content-management system.
- Experience with LinkedIn company pages, social-media calendars, digital analytics, email marketing, or SEO basics.
- Knowledge coordinating trade shows, conventions, booth graphics, and vendor production.
- Familiarity with quality-system procedures, document control, controlled artwork, and approval workflows.
