Assignment Length

Compensation
$22-$28/Hour
The range above is the good faith pay scale for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Influencer & Community Coordinator will help grow and strengthen the communities surrounding our portfolio of brands.
This role will focus on building authentic relationships with consumers, influencers, UGC creators, brand advocates, and complementary communities that can help expand brand awareness and engagement. The ideal candidate is highly social, relationship-driven, culturally aware, and excited about finding new ways to turn customers and creators into passionate brand advocates.
Working closely with the Social Media Manager and broader Marketing team, this role will support influencer programs, creator partnerships, community engagement, UGC development, gifting and seeding initiatives, and community-building activations across multiple brands.
Position Type
This is a temporary, non-exempt position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2026. The assignment may be extended, shortened, or ended at any time based on business need. Whimsocal Studios may consider the individual in this role for a regular full-time position based on performance and business need; however, an extension of the assignment or conversion to a regular position is not guaranteed and is not a term of this assignment.
Employment with Whimsocal Studios is at-will, meaning either the employee or the Company may end the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with California law, California paid sick leave, and any other benefits required by applicable law.
Key Responsibilities Community Engagement & Growth
● Serve as an active voice within our brand communities, building meaningful relationships with customers, fans, advocates, and creators.
● Monitor and engage with comments, conversations, tags, mentions, and relevant community discussions across social platforms and brand communities.
● Identify opportunities for brands to participate in relevant conversations, communities, groups, events, and cultural moments.
● Proactively engage with complementary brands, creators, organizations, and communities to expand brand visibility and reach new audiences.
● Identify highly engaged customers and advocates who could become ambassadors, creators, event participants, or long-term brand partners.
● Support community-focused campaigns, giveaways, events, product launches, and other engagement initiatives.
● Surface community feedback, trends, recurring questions, and consumer insights to the Marketing team.
Influencer & Creator Relationships
● Identify and recruit influencers, micro-influencers, UGC creators, and emerging brand advocates who align with each brand's audience and positioning.
● Build and maintain an organized pipeline of potential and active creator partners.
● Manage day-to-day creator communication, including outreach, product selection, gifting, briefs, deadlines, deliverables, usage rights, and follow-up.
● Develop long-term relationships with high-performing creators rather than relying solely on one-time partnerships.
● Coordinate influencer and creator participation around product launches, campaigns, events, collaborations, and key brand moments.
● Maintain accurate creator contact information, partnership history, content performance, and relationship notes.
UGC & Content Creator Coordination
● Build and manage a consistent pipeline of UGC that can support organic social, paid media, email, e-commerce, and other marketing channels.
● Partner with the Social Media Manager to identify content needs and source creators who can deliver against those needs.
● Develop clear creator briefs that communicate campaign objectives, product messaging, required deliverables, and brand guidelines.
● Coordinate product seeding and gifting from outreach through shipment and content delivery.
● Track creator content and ensure approved assets are properly organized for future marketing use.
● Identify high-performing organic creator content that may be appropriate for paid amplification.
Community Partnerships & Brand Expansion
● Research communities, organizations, events, retailers, creators, and complementary brands that align with our target consumers.
● Proactively identify opportunities for cross-promotion, community partnerships, gifting, events, collaborations, and audience sharing.
● Support local and national brand events by identifying creators, community partners, and advocates who can help increase attendance and awareness.
● Help develop grassroots programs that introduce our brands to new audiences in authentic, community-driven ways.
Reporting & Performance
● Track influencer outreach, creator participation, content delivery, engagement, reach, UGC volume, community growth, and other program KPIs.
● Monitor creator and community performance to identify which partnerships and tactics are driving the strongest results.
● Provide regular updates on creator activity, community sentiment, emerging trends, and growth opportunities.
● Maintain organized trackers, creator databases, and campaign documentation.
Qualifications
● 1–3 years of experience in influencer marketing, community management, social media, creator partnerships, PR, or a related marketing role.
● Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging social platforms.
● Familiarity with influencer marketing, UGC, gifting/seeding, affiliate programs, and creator partnerships.
● Excellent written communication and relationship-building skills.
● Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple brands, creators, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously.
● Strong understanding of social culture and an ability to identify emerging creators, conversations, and trends.
● Comfortable proactively reaching out to creators, consumers, brands, and community partners.
● Experience with project management, influencer management, social listening, or reporting platforms is a plus.
● Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across Marketing, Social, Creative, E-commerce, PR, and Sales.
