Sales, Marketing & Inventory Coordinator
Plush in a Rush — Dallas, TX
Full-time | In-person
Expected starting range: $62,000–$78,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Summary
Plush in a Rush is a Dallas-based wholesale plush company serving customers nationwide since 1992. We sell teddy bears, stuffed animals, seasonal plush, school-spirit items, and custom-imprinted plush products to florists, gift shops, boutiques, schools, businesses, organizations, and other retailers.
We are looking for a practical, organized, commercially minded person to help support our sales, marketing, product, purchasing, and inventory efforts.
This is not a basic administrative role. It is also not a pure marketing role or an independent buying role.
The right person will understand that selling a product is only one part of the job. We also need to know what is selling, what is slowing down, what needs to be promoted, what may need to be reordered, what should be closed out, and how to avoid being overstocked or sold out.
This role supports ownership with information, follow-up, reporting, organization, and execution. Final buying and inventory decisions are made in consultation with ownership, but this person will help gather the right information, track the right details, and help turn decisions into action.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Tracking product performance, sales trends, inventory levels, and reorder risks
- Identifying strong sellers, slow movers, closeout candidates, seasonal opportunities, and products that may need marketing support
- Supporting purchasing and reorder planning by organizing sales data, inventory information, vendor follow-up, and product details
- Preparing simple reports and summaries so ownership can make better buying, marketing, and inventory decisions
- Supporting email campaigns, product launches, website updates, promotions, and seasonal sales pushes
- Helping improve product presentation on our website, in emails, and in sales materials
- Assisting with product descriptions, product groupings, customer-facing copy, and merchandising ideas
- Supporting customer follow-up, product recommendations, and promotional opportunities
- Coordinating with the office and warehouse team on product availability, receiving, substitutions, order issues, and inventory questions
- Helping organize spreadsheets, checklists, internal notes, reports, and repeatable systems
- Using Shopify, spreadsheets, email, business software, and AI tools to organize information and improve workflows
This Job May Be a Good Fit If You
- Like thinking about what products sell, why they sell, and what should happen next
- Are interested in the connection between sales, marketing, purchasing, and inventory
- Enjoy looking at sales numbers and turning them into action
- Are organized enough to track many products, deadlines, follow-ups, and details
- Are comfortable working with ownership, office staff, warehouse employees, vendors, and customers
- Communicate clearly by email, phone, and in person
- Are curious about using technology, spreadsheets, Shopify, and AI tools to make work easier
- Are practical, steady, and comfortable in a small-business environment where people wear multiple hats
This Job Is Probably Not a Good Fit If You
- Only want to do graphic design, social media, or creative marketing
- Only want to do sales calls without product and inventory details
- Are uncomfortable with spreadsheets, sales data, purchasing, or inventory
- Need every task to be perfectly defined in advance
- Are uncomfortable walking into a warehouse or asking product/inventory questions
- Dislike follow-up, details, reports, checklists, or documenting processes
- Are resistant to learning new software, AI tools, or improved ways of doing things
Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate may have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Sales support or sales operations
- Marketing coordination
- Ecommerce merchandising
- Product coordination
- Buying or purchasing support
- Inventory control or inventory planning
- Wholesale, distribution, retail, ecommerce, gift, toy, apparel, promotional products, or consumer goods
- Customer service or inside sales
- Vendor communication
- Shopify or other ecommerce platforms
- Spreadsheets, reporting tools, or business software
Preferred qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Shopify is a strong plus
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Comfort working with sales data, inventory information, spreadsheets, and reports
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work full-time in person at our Dallas office
