Senior Service Advisor

Chris’s German Auto, Redmond, WA
$82,000 Base Salary + Gross Profit Bonus

Realistic Total Compensation: $130,000–$160,000+
Monday-Friday - No Weekends

Chris’s German Auto has spent decades earning the trust of Porsche owners, collectors, drivers, and enthusiasts who care deeply about how their vehicles are serviced and how they are treated.

That means a great advisor here does more than get an approval. You set clear expectations, communicate accurately, document the details, follow up when you said you would, and stay connected to the repair all the way through delivery.

The cars are interesting. The standards are high. The details matter. Customers come here because they want thoughtful service from people who understand that these vehicles are more than transportation.

Founded by Porsche expert Chris Powell and now led by professional rally driver and Porsche enthusiast Daria Bakai, Chris’s German Auto blends old-school craftsmanship, motorsport roots, and modern shop systems inside a 10,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Redmond.

We are looking for a strong, experienced Senior Service Advisor who can sell confidently while also understanding that the sale is only one part of doing the job well.

Pay & Benefits

$82,000 Base Salary + Gross Profit Bonus -
Realistic Total Compensation: $130,000–$160,000+
Gross-profit-based bonus/commission
Ability to exceed $160,000 for a strong performer

This compensation structure gives you a stable base while still rewarding strong performance, without creating an environment where every customer interaction has to become a hard sell.

What the Day-to-Day Feels Like

You will work with customers who care about their vehicles and appreciate knowledgeable guidance.

You should be comfortable discussing significant repair recommendations, explaining value, asking for the work, and helping customers make confident decisions. But just as important, you will be expected to manage everything that happens after the customer says yes.

That includes:

Setting realistic timelines and expectations
Keeping customers informed throughout the repair
Documenting conversations, approvals, and recommendations accurately
Following up when promised
Staying connected to the repair from drop-off through delivery
Working closely with technicians so information does not get lost
Addressing changes before they become surprises
Taking ownership when something does not go according to plan
Following established shop processes consistently

At the volume this shop handles, little misses can become expensive problems quickly. An incomplete note, a missed callback, an overpromised completion time, or a skipped process can create unnecessary customer frustration and liability.

The best advisor here will understand that structure is not bureaucracy. It is what allows a high-performing shop to take care of customers consistently.

The Shop Environment

Chris’s German Auto is a Porsche focused European repair shop with a long-standing reputation in the enthusiast community.

You will be working in a professional environment that includes:

10,000 sq. ft. climate controlled facility
10 bays with additional lifts
Showroom quality shop environment
Tekmetric shop management system
Integrated digital vehicle inspections, photos, and videos
Porsche-specialized technicians
Consistent workflow and strong customer demand
Porsche Club of America involvement
Cars & Coffee events, track days, and community involvement
A customer base made up of Porsche owners, collectors, drivers, and enthusiasts
Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW, and other German and European vehicles

You are not walking into an environment where the goal is simply to move as many cars as possible. Quality, communication, and follow-through carry real weight here.

Leadership & Training

Chris’s German Auto is led by Daria Bakai, a professional rally driver and Porsche enthusiast who is actively involved in the automotive community.

The leadership style is involved and supportive without being built around constant micromanagement. Good people are expected to take ownership of their role, follow the systems that are in place, communicate when something is not working, and continue developing their skills.

Coaching is treated as a tool for growth, not a punishment.

This is a good fit for someone who is experienced and confident but still understands there is always something to learn, whether that is improving sales conversations, tightening documentation, managing workflow more effectively, or becoming a stronger leader.

You may be a strong fit if you can confidently close a large repair order and still care just as much about whether the customer received the update you promised them later that afternoon.

We are less interested in an aggressive salesperson who can close a ticket and move on than someone who combines sales ability, maturity, judgment, discipline, and follow-through.

Experience & Requirements

Experience in a successful independent repair shop is a major plus, especially in a German, European, Porsche, or other premium automotive environment.

Strong candidates will likely bring:

Previous automotive service advisor or similar customer-facing automotive experience
Strong automotive sales ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and documentation habits
Comfort working within established SOPs and processes
Good judgment when communicating timelines and recommendations
The ability to balance sales, customer experience, shop workflow, and follow-through
Professionalism when dealing with difficult conversations or unexpected delays
An appreciation for high-quality European vehicles and the customers who own them

What matters most is that you know how to communicate, sell professionally, stay organized, follow the process, and take ownership of the customer experience from beginning to end.
