Full Job Description

General Summary:

The Production Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on a variety of metal products using MIG, TIG, and other approved welding processes. This position requires the ability to read drawings, set up equipment, inspect completed work, and ensure products meet company quality and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, quality-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production welding environment or equivalent.
Demonstrated proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials and thicknesses.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication practices.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures,and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS (American Welding Society) Certification. (Required)
Experience with robotic welding systems and robotic welding programming.
Bilingual
Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
Experience with Laser welding systems

Position Responsibilities:

Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding operations according to engineering drawings,specifications, and work instructions.
Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform basic fitting, assembly, grinding, and finishing operations as required.
Inspect welded assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Identify and report defects, fit-up issues, equipment malfunctions, or material discrepancies.
Perform first-piece inspections and support quality verification processes.
Maintain production standards while ensuring product quality and safety requirements are met.
Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to resolve production
issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Assist with training and mentoring less experienced welders when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Authorities:

Stop production when safety or major quality risks are identified.
Recommend operational, quality, and productivity improvements.
Assist leadership with training validation and process standardization.
Provide technical guidance across assembly operations.
Escalate equipment, quality, or workflow concerns requiring leadership action.
Participate in problem-solving and corrective action activities.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
