Full Job Description

West Jackson Community Development Corporation (WJCDC) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fiscal Program Clerk to provide financial and administrative support for our U.S. Department of Labor-funded Reentry Program serving justice-involved young adults ages 18–24. This position is responsible for assisting with fiscal recordkeeping, participant payments, invoice processing, budget tracking, purchasing, and maintaining accurate financial documentation to ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping and administrative skills, values accuracy and confidentiality, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, grant-funded environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Process participant stipends, supportive service payments, reimbursements, and other authorized program expenditures.
Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, purchase requests, and payment documentation.
Maintain accurate fiscal records and supporting documentation in accordance with federal and organizational requirements.
Track program expenditures and assist with budget monitoring.
Reconcile receipts, purchase orders, and financial records.
Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and grant reporting.
Maintain organized fiscal files, both electronic and paper.
Coordinate with the Fiscal Manager and Program Manager to ensure expenditures are allowable and properly documented.
Assist with procurement activities and inventory tracking for program supplies and equipment.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, scheduling, and record management.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and participant information.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year

Experience:

Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
