Overview

Join our dynamic fabrication team as a Welder/Fabricator working the 2nd shift, where your skills will directly contribute to building high-quality metal structures and components. This role offers an energetic environment focused on precision, safety, and craftsmanship. You will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal parts using a variety of techniques and tools, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Duties

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes
Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication
Operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and structural assemblies following detailed schematics and technical specifications
Use rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy materials or assemblies during fabrication or installation
Maintain safety protocols at all times while handling metal materials, power tools, and machinery to promote a safe working environment

Experience

Proven experience in metal fabrication shop environments with hands-on welding experience in MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW processes
Construction site experience preferred, including familiarity with construction practices involving ductwork, piping, or structural steel assembly
Skilled in interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with a strong understanding of shop math and basic math principles
Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately for quality control purposes
Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for fabrication tasks
Experience with rigging, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining or soldering is advantageous
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding standards (AWS), ASME codes & standards, OSHA regulations or similar safety guidelines is essential
Prior experience working with construction or manufacturing teams on projects involving assembly of fabricated components
