Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HVAC service department. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technicians, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage the efficiency and profitability of residential HVAC services. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:
Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of HVAC service technicians.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing training.
Promote a positive work environment and foster team collaboration.
Operational Oversight:
Schedule and dispatch technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Monitor daily operations to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Review and approve work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and billing.
Customer Service:
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations professionally and promptly.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering quality service and solutions.
Provide guidance to technicians on resolving complex service issues.
Financial Management:
Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, and profitability.
Track performance metrics, including technician productivity and job completion rates.
Assist with pricing, estimates, and proposals for residential HVAC services.
Technical Expertise:
Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to technicians as needed.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and vehicles are maintained and functional.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and standards.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 5 year is HVAC Residential Management
EPA certification and other relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., NATE).
In-depth knowledge of residential HVAC systems, equipment, and repair techniques.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in scheduling software and CRM tools is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
