Full Job Description

Join our Financial Control team and play a key role in ensuring integrity of financial data in the ledger. Functionally, you will be expected to be very hands-on with reconciliations and control for the businesses you are supporting.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will apply accounting expertise to review sub-system postings, reconcile balances, resolve breaks, and ensure accurate and complete ledger data for reporting, tax, and month-end close. You will support key processes such as transfer pricing, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting judgments, and P&L/balance sheet variance analysis, while engaging with stakeholders and meeting tight close timelines. You will also contribute to system and process improvements, including a new subledger implementation, support audits and internal teams, and advise on accounting impacts for new products and business initiatives.

What you offer

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting with 1–5 years of relevant experience (CPA/CA preferred)
Experience with general ledger accounting, including posting journal entries and reconciliations
Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS preferred) and financial reporting processes
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across global teams
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and take on increasing responsibility
