POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of ASC Operations is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the ASC Division. This person will be responsible for working hand in hand with ASC Administrators and with the Chief Operating Officer, Ancillary to ensure a collaborative effort among all ASC functions. This person will take direction from the Chief Operating Officer, Ancillary as required and communicate/implement to the ASC Division.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for overseeing the daily management and operations of Borland Groover’s ASC Division
Supervise facility Administrators
Facilitate day-to-day operations of ASCs, including but not limited to:
- Establish, review and report on key financial and clinical indicators
- Review and report on monthly financials and budget variance reports
- Establish and implement cost control measures
- Oversee capital procurement
- Interpret, understand, and negotiate facility contracts
- Prepare for board and partner meetings/presentations
- Provide support for accreditation and surveys as required
- Complete feasibility studies and evaluations of new services/procedures
- Facilitate member/physician communication
- Ad hoc data analysis as required
Strong knowledge of outpatient ASC clinical processes, space requirements, staffing ratios, and benchmarks

- Clinical staff in recovery and pre op
Knowledge of and ability to direct state, regulatory, CMS and accreditation requirements
Understanding of billing and collections
Understanding of financial and operational analytics
Competence in EPM/EHR software programs and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word PowerPoint)
Assist in short and long term strategic planning for division
Participate in ASC Division business development efforts
- Assist in defining project scope/programming
- Assist in coordination of internal and external resources
- Serve as a point of contact for multiple units to ensure execution of project action plan

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing or related field required
Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
