Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic Fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on various metal materials, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of complex projects across construction, industrial, and manufacturing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting where quality and efficiency are paramount.

Responsibilities

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication and welding requirements
Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes
Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds
Operate fabrication shop equipment such as press brake machines, welders, pipe threading tools, and power tools safely and efficiently
Fabricate metal components for structures, ductwork, piping systems, sheet metal assemblies, and other mechanical fabrications with attention to detail
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols including rigging procedures, forklift operation, and proper handling of metal materials
Inspect completed welds for quality assurance using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques; document work progress as required
Collaborate with team members to interpret technical schematics and ensure fabrication aligns with project specifications

Requirements

Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols
Certification as a welder from an accredited organization such as the AWS; proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW welding processes required
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work
Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, and structural steel fabrication
Experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, forklifts or rigging equipment preferred
Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices
Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
Basic math skills necessary for accurate measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
