CT Technologist

$10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires!

South Shore Health is looking to grow their talented and dedicated CT Technologist team and would love to have you join us! In this role, you’ll perform high-quality CT scans using state-of-the-art technology to support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. You’ll work closely with radiologists, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure safe, efficient imaging services and an excellent patient experience.

· Exposure to a Level II Adult Trauma Center, Level III NICU and the third busiest Emergency Department in the state

Responsibilities:

· Perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and physician orders

· Prepare, assess, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort, cooperation, and understanding of procedures

· Establish IV access and administer contrast agents using sterile technique and required safety procedures

· Review physician orders and patient information, collaborate with radiologists and coordinate timely completion of examinations

· Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot CT equipment; complete quality control, image transfer, inventory and room-readiness responsibilities

· Follow radiation, infection-control and patient-identification standards while supporting a strong culture of safety

· Train staff and students as needed and stay current with department and hospital technology

Qualifications:

· Massachusetts Radiation Control Program state licensure and current ARRT Computed Tomography certification required

· 3+ years of radiologic and special procedures experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered

· BLS (AHA) certification within 180 days of hire

· Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, image quality and radiation safety principles
