Full Job Description

Central Missouri Newspapers, Inc. is hiring a Mail Clerk for our commercial print production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll handle the preparation and processing of printed materials for mailing, operate equipment, and ensure all outgoing mail meets USPS regulations. You’ll also assist with shipping, receiving, and work closely with production staff to meet tight deadlines. Experience with mailing software and a working knowledge of postal requirements are essential.

Duties:

Prepares and processes printed materials for mailing using industry-standard software
Ensures all materials are labeled, bundled, and metered according to USPS regulations
Coordinates with production staff to meet tight deadlines and delivery schedules
Maintains accurate mailing logs and documentation
Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mailing equipment
May assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Proven experience using BCC Mail Manager or similar mailing software – REQUIRED
Strong understanding of USPS regulations, postal sorting, and addressing standards
Familiarity with commercial printing processes is a plus
Basic computer literacy and comfort working with data files (CSV, Excel, etc.)
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
