Full Job Description

Pinder's Nursery is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations and support company leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves keeping the books tight, thrives in a small-business environment, and wants steady part-time hours with real responsibility.

What you'll do:

Maintain accurate financial records and handle monthly bookkeeping
Manage accounts receivable (customer accounts, statements, collections, aging reports) and accounts payable (vendor setup, bill payment, expense tracking)
Record banking transactions, deposits, transfers, and reconciliations
Process payroll and ensure payroll taxes/liabilities are submitted on time
Record daily retail sales from our Point-of-Sale system into QuickBooks
Prepare financial reports for leadership
Supervise and support our Office Coordinator
Assist leadership with administrative projects as needed

What we're looking for:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of QuickBooks Online experience, ideally in a retail or similar environment
Solid experience with AP, AR, monthly journal entries, and payroll
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Google Workspace, POS systems, and QuickBooks Online
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Self-starter who can prioritize and work independently

Schedule: Approximately 30–35 hours/week, depending on seasonal business needs.

Work environment: Primarily indoors; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; periodic exposure to dust and common nursery workplace chemicals.
