$5,000 Sign-On | No Nights | No Weekends | No On-Call

East River Medical Imaging (ERMI) has been a trusted provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging in New York for more than 40 years. Our team is known for advanced technology, exceptional patient care, and a warm, compassionate environment at our Manhattan Upper East Side and White Plains locations.

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our Upper East Side team and help deliver high-quality diagnostic MRI services while providing an outstanding patient experience.

About the Role

As an MRI Technologist, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing a supportive experience for patients. This is a hands-on clinical role where technologists work closely with radiologists and clinical leadership to maintain the highest standards of care. Every day brings a different mix of studies and diagnoses, keeping the work clinically engaging.Responsibilities include:

Patient Care & Imaging

Prepare, position, and educate patients for MRI examinations, ensuring safety and comfort
Operate MRI equipment and select appropriate protocols to produce diagnostic-quality images
Conduct MRI safety screening and monitor patients throughout the exam
Administer contrast per site protocol, as authorized

Image Quality & Compliance

Review images for proper identification, positioning, and diagnostic quality prior to radiologist interpretation
Maintain compliance with MRI safety standards, departmental policies, and New York State regulations
Maintain technical competency through continued education and training in accordance with ARRT requirements

Equipment & Workflow Support

Perform routine equipment checks and identify operational issues
Prepare images and documentation for radiologist review
Collaborate with radiologists and team members to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience

Compensation and benefits include:

$60–$67/hour, based on experience
401(k) plan

3 Weeks Vacation + 9 Paid holidays
$5,000 Sign-on bonus

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the following:

ARRT registration in MRI (MR)
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license with injection
Minimum 3 years of MRI experience (a plus)
Active BLS certification
Knowledge of MS Suite, GE RIS-IC, AMBRA, and PACS
Experience with GE MRI systems (a plus)
Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

Pay: $60.00 - $67.00 per hour
