Full Job Description

Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Bella Vino Wine Bar & Tapas is looking for a strong, hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our BOH team. We’re also open to an experienced Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step into kitchen leadership.

We are a busy, high-volume, established restaurant with a strong team and systems already in place. Our menu is established, so we are not looking for someone to come in and reinvent the concept. We need a leader who can own the kitchen, develop the team, maintain high standards, and execute consistently.

What you’ll own:

Day-to-day BOH operations
Leading, training, coaching, and holding the kitchen team accountable
BOH scheduling and labor management
Hiring and developing cooks as needed
Food quality, consistency, presentation, and ticket times
Ordering, inventory, food cost, waste, and proper product storage
Prep levels, pars, and ensuring the kitchen is set up for successful service
Kitchen cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and closing standards
Maintaining equipment and communicating repair/maintenance needs
Working closely and respectfully with FOH management to ensure smooth service
Collaborating with ownership on seasonal menu updates, specials, events, and features

Who we’re looking for:

A hands-on leader who is willing to work the line and lead by example
Someone proactive who sees an issue and handles it rather than waiting to be told
Strong organization, communication, and people-management skills
Someone who can hold standards while still building a positive team culture
Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
A strong Sous Chef ready to take ownership of a kitchen OR an experienced Head Chef/Kitchen Manager looking for the right fit
Someone who takes pride in running a clean, organized, efficient kitchen and understands that consistency matters just as much as creativity

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real ownership of a kitchen without needing to build an entire concept from scratch.

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience, with additional performance bonus opportunities.
