POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for daily field supervision of KEMRON employees and subcontractors on environmental remediation and construction projects.
Frequent overnight and out-of-state travel is required for projects throughout
TN, KY, NC, SC, VA, WV, TX, and other locations based on project needs. Project locations, schedules, durations, and start dates will vary.
This position coordinates day-to-day site activities, maintains schedule and quality control, enforces the Site Health and Safety Plan, tracks employee time, supports budget control, and communicates project status and issues to the Project Manager. The role requires strong field leadership, sound judgment, and knowledge of earthwork, excavation, grading, backfill, sampling processes and procedures, and safe environmental construction practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Supervise and coordinate daily work activities for field employees and subcontractors.

Serve as the onsite point of contact for the Project Manager regarding progress, schedule, staffing, safety, quality, and field issues.

Review work activities for compliance with project plans, specifications, KEMRON Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements.

Maintain project schedules by planning daily work, coordinating personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and other resources, and communicating delays or needed adjustments promptly.

Complete and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly field reports, including labor, equipment, subcontractor activity, production, safety, and incident documentation.

Track employee time and verify field quantities, subcontractor work, and supporting documentation as required.Support project cost control by monitoring field productivity, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and identifying budget concerns to the Project Manager.

Enforce proper safety practices, lead or support tailgate safety meetings, and ensure required safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

Identify and resolve routine field issues and escalate safety, quality, scope, schedule, personnel, or other project concerns to the Project Manager and/or Health and Safety Director.

Operate with dependability, professionalism, and consistency while representing KEMRON at project sites.

Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:-
Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Construction Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Construction Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.

Experience in environmental remediation, heavy civil construction, earthwork, excavation, grading, and/or backfill strongly preferred.

Current 40-Hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training required.

First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in environmental remediation and construction work.

Knowledge of applicable safety precautions, field hazard recognition, and safe construction practices.

Ability to read, understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions.

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, subcontractors, clients, project management, and safety personnel.

Ability to work independently, make sound field decisions, and complete daily activities according to project schedules.

Basic computer and documentation skills for field reports, time tracking, and project communication.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:-
Work is performed primarily at active environmental remediation and construction project sites.

Must be able to work outdoors in conditions that may include inclement weather, extreme heat or cold, humidity, dust, mud, noise, equipment traffic, and other field exposures.

Must be able to safely traverse uneven, unstable, muddy, or sloped jobsite terrain.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform site supervision and observation duties for extended periods.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

May work around moving vehicles, heavy equipment, mechanical equipment, excavation areas, and potentially hazardous materials.

Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods when required.

Must be able to meet attendance and project schedule requirements with dependability and consistency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:-
Frequent overnight and out-of-state travel is required.

Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license and have a driving history approved by KEMRON’s insurance carrier to qualify to drive company vehicles.

Must understand, follow, and sign off on applicable corporate and site-specific Health and Safety Plans.

Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment, client, project, and site access requirements.
