Full Job Description

Banquet Supervisor

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Banquet Supervisor to oversee banquet and meeting room operations. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.

Important Before You Apply

This is not a position where you will supervise a large banquet staff. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for the majority of event setup, service, and breakdown activities. Additional employees may be assigned from other departments for larger events when needed, but this position often works independently and requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of all aspects of an event.

Responsibilities

Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event specifications
Arrange and move tables, chairs, staging, linens, and equipment
Ensure meeting rooms and event spaces are properly prepared and presentation-ready
Provide exceptional guest service during meetings, banquets, weddings, and special events
Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure successful event execution
Monitor event details and make adjustments as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage and event areas
Handle multiple events and priorities simultaneously
Ensure all events are executed accurately and professionally

Requirements

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Event schedules vary and may require working late one day and returning early the next morning
Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and move tables, chairs, and banquet equipment
Must be comfortable performing physical labor for extended periods
This is a physically demanding position and is not primarily a desk or administrative role
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing event needs
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience preferred

Employment Requirements

No Exceptions

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must be able to obtain and maintain all required child clearances and background checks
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Reliable transportation required
