Full Job Description

TAMKO is seeking an Administrative Assistant at our Joplin, Missouri manufacturing facility to support the General Manager by providing front-office administrative support, coordinating plant and community activities, and serving as a key liaison between plant employees and corporate teams.

Essential Job Functions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may also be assigned.

Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors; greet guests and coordinate appropriate site access and direct or escort visitors to the appropriate location.
Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and coordinating business-related activities.
Coordinate travel arrangements, lodging, and itineraries for plant leadership and visitors as needed.
Conduct research, compile information, and create reports and summaries to support business operations and decision-making.
Lead new employee onboarding activities and coordinate related documentation.
Serve as a liaison for plant employees with Corporate HR and Accounting; follow up with cross-functional teams to gather information as needed.
Serve as the point of contact for community events and requests (Community Goodwill) and coordinate plant participation.
Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, training sessions, employee events, including logistics, materials and catering arrangements.
Track, order, and maintain adequate office supplies and coordinate administrative needs for the facility.
Serve as a liaison for vendors (uniform, janitorial, pest control, etc.) and coordinate plant administrative support for capital projects.
Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and office efficiencies while supporting plant operational objectives.
Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
College degree preferred.
Microsoft Office experience preferred.
Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail, and strong follow-up/organization skills.
