Accounting Assistant – Accounts Receivable/Payable

Location: Neosho, MO
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Kelly Anderson Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, payment processing, collections, and financial recordkeeping while providing exceptional customer service to both internal departments and external clients.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, able to prioritize multiple deadlines, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

· Prepare and process weekly customer invoices for multiple company services.

· Enter customer payments accurately and promptly.

· Process customer credit memos and account adjustments.

· Monitor accounts receivable aging and perform collection activities through phone calls and email.

· Generate and distribute customer statements throughout the month.

· Respond to customer billing questions and resolve account discrepancies.

· Assist with month-end invoicing and reporting.

Accounts Payable

· Enter vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payment processing.

· Process and reconcile company credit card transactions and receipts.

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.

· Assist with scheduled accounts payable check runs.

Banking & Reconciliations

· Reconcile bank deposits weekly.

· Reconcile vendor invoices and ensure account balances are accurate.

· Maintain organized financial records through scanning and electronic filing.

General Accounting & Administrative Support

· Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.

· Prepare department-specific month-end billing and reporting.

· Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate billing and financial information.

· Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries via phone and email.

· Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience preferred.

· Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of general accounting principles.

· Experience with collections and customer account management.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

· Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments.
