BELL CAPTAIN — LUXURY HOTEL
THE LIBERTY PARKING TEAM
Liberty Parking is a hospitality services company built around one thing: the arrival and departure experience. We don't run airports, municipal lots, or hospital garages — hotels and luxury residences are all we do. Our services include valet parking, self-park management, door and bell services, concierge, and porter/directional services.
Our founders built this company on decades of experience and a simple belief: take care of the team, and the team takes care of the guest. That's why our people stay — and why our hotel partners get the same faces at the door month after month instead of a rotating roster.
If you are looking to:
- Set the pace for a team at a property where luxury service standards actually mean something
- Be developed — through training built to make you think and operate like a CEO, not just cover a shift
- Grow with a company that is opening new properties, and travel as we do
- Be part of a growing team with a family atmosphere
- Have your voice heard and be part of a winning team
Then Liberty Parking is the place for you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Palm House Hotel is a Forbes Star-rated property in Palm Beach. The Bell Captain is the most experienced person at the entrance — the one who sets the pace on the floor, trains the standard into new team members, and makes sure every guest's first sixty seconds and last sixty seconds are flawless.
This is a hands-on floor role, not a desk job. You're in uniform for the whole shift, moving bags and greeting guests alongside your team, while calling the rotation and holding the standard at the door.
Reports to: Director of Parking, Liberty Parking Works alongside: Valet Captain, Bell Attendants and Front Desk
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Setting the pace on the floor
- Deliver the daily pre-shift lineup from your Account Manager's brief — VIP and group arrivals, house count, weather, and the service focus of the day
- Call positions and rotations through the shift so the door and the bell stand are never uncovered
- Be the first one moving on an arrival — the standard everyone else matches is the one you're visibly holding
- Train new team members to Liberty and [Property] service standards and mentor them through their first shifts
- Coach in the moment: a quiet word at the right time, not a lecture at the end of the night
- Escalate anything beyond in-the-moment coaching to your Account Manager
Holding the luxury standard
- Model guest recognition — greet by name, escort rather than point, anticipate the need before it's spoken
- Run daily quality checks against [Forbes Travel Guide / AAA / brand] service standards and close gaps on the spot
- Own guest recovery at the entrance: hear the issue, resolve it, and communicate it up before it becomes a review
Owning the entrance
- Position the team so there is a Liberty presence at the door at all times — no unattended entrance, ever
- Hold door standards — door opened before the guest reaches it, umbrella service in weather, luggage claimed at the vehicle rather than at the desk
- Run the door-to-valet handoff so no guest is passed between teams without an introduction
Running the bell operation
- Manage the bell closet and luggage storage: claim-check control, chain of custody, accurate tagging, secure storage, and an organized room at all times
- Coordinate group and ballroom baggage pulls and deliveries with Front Office, Housekeeping, Banquets, and Security
- Handle packages, deliveries, and guest amenities with documented accountability
- Maintain bell carts, umbrellas, luggage tags, radios, and entrance equipment; report and follow up on repairs
- Complete incident documentation accurately and immediately — Liberty owns the process end to end and never denies a claim on the spot
- Model and reinforce safe lifting, cart handling, and entrance traffic practices
Working with the hotel
- Coordinate day to day with Front Office, Valet, Housekeeping, Banquets, and Security
- Communicate proactively about arrivals, VIPs, and anything that helps the property shine
- Loop in your Director of Parking on anything affecting the account relationship — they own the partnership with hotel leadership
