About the Role

As a Therapist at Serenity Lodge, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals on their journey to recovery. You will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to clients struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll develop and implement personalized treatment plans, lead individual and group therapy sessions, and provide crucial support every step of the way.

Your Responsibilities

Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to inform and create individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
Therapy & Counseling: Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention to clients in crisis, including managing withdrawal symptoms and developing relapse prevention strategies.
Client Education: Educate clients and their families on recovery processes and equip them with healthy coping mechanisms.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring all documentation meets legal, ethical, and facility standards.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with doctors, social workers, and case managers to provide holistic, integrated care.
Professional Growth: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in substance abuse treatment through continuous professional development.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid state licensure as an AMFT, ACSW, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or LPCC.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy in a substance abuse treatment setting. Experience with co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is required.
