The Youth Program Supervisor is part of our Fun Squad. The ideal candidate has high, dynamic energy and proactively engages our members.
This role will predominately work in our Family Activity Center, which includes two childcare rooms, a bowling alley, movie theater, and arcade. The Youth Program Supervisor will be trained in all operations of the Family Activity Center, and will assist with day to day operations of the facility. This role will provide excellent customer service to all guests and serve as a role model for other Kalamazoo Country Club Staff. This role plans programs and supervises staff in Adventure Club, our day camp, and in Kid’s Club, our interactive play center for children ages 1 to 17 years old. The Supervisor also assists in the planning and implementation of various special events where we serve 600-1,400 members. The ideal candidate has flexible availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Maintain active focus on all children, providing consistent supervision and ensuring all participants feel comfortable and engaged.
Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff members on employee expectations, best childcare practices, and cleaning and safety procedures.
Encourage and support team members in providing exceptional childcare and customer service.
Supervise employees during shifts in the youth room, family activity center, and day camp program.
Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing summer camp programming in the summer.
Communicate clearly and productively with parents regarding children’s needs, behavior, and related issues.
Assist in the planning and implementation of activities planned for each level of childcare, as defined for various programs.
Accurately complete procedures for registration, daily sign-in/out, cleanliness, and safety.
Clean and sanitize toys, equipment, and furniture within the childcare and activity areas.
Provide practical support, problem solving, and excellent customer service during the daily operations of the bowling alley, movie theater, and arcade.
Provide feedback to management about improvements that could be made regarding programming, planning, organizing, and policies.
Work as a team member to provide a high level of service to members
Attend all required meetings and staff training.
Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing special events and private party rentals.
Serve as a “party host,” for private rentals of the Family Activity Center, meeting all the needs of our guests in a positive, consistent, and customer focused manner.

May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
21+ years old.
Must enjoy working with children of all ages.
Experience in an administrative or leadership position is preferred
Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, recreation management, education, or related field is preferred
Must have flexibility with work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred CPR/Child Infant and CPR/AED certified or ability to obtain certification upon hire (training can be provided.)
Ability to pass an annual background check.
