This position performs a variety of cardiac ultrasounds within the scope of practice and Logan Health policies and procedures. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.

Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited school of Cardiovascular Sonography preferred.

Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
-
ARDMS in Adult Echocardiography Registration.
-
Must be board eligible and ARDMS registry must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
-
Minimum of one (1) year adult echocardiography experience preferred.
-
RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics required.

Possess knowledge and experience in all cardiac echo procedures preferred.

To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
-
Current Driver’s License required.
-
Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).

In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:

State law minimum liability coverage limits required.

Job Specific Duties:
-
Accurately and efficiently performs cardiac echocardiogram procedures as outlined by department procedures and exam protocols.

Obtains patient history, describes and responds to questions, and informs patient of when to expect results as applicable to assigned area(s).

Participates in and coordinates patient care and flow. Provides for physical and psychological needs of patient during examination.

Provides images, data analysis and patient comments to the Cardiologist for diagnostic interpretation.

Maintains understanding of and follows current exam protocols.
-
Maintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.
-
Assists with maintaining and ordering supply stock as directed.
-
Maintains equipment and coordinates repairs and service as needed or directed.
-
Assists with administrative duties as applicable to assigned area(s).

Shift:
Day Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America)
Four 10-hour day shifts, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with one rotating weekday off.
