Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional to lead our dietary services with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutritional programs tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents or patients. Your leadership will ensure compliance with food safety standards, promote health and well-being through nutritious meal options, and foster a positive dining experience for all. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals’ health while demonstrating strong management and dietetics skills.

Responsibilities

oversee nutritious menus that meet dietary guidelines and individual care plans, ensuring variety and appeal.
Supervise dietary staff, providing leadership, training, and support to maintain high standards of food safety and service quality.
Ensure compliance with all food protection regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Conduct patient or resident assessments to tailor meal plans that support their health conditions and nutritional needs.
Manage dietary department operations, including budgeting, inventory control, and procurement of supplies.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to create comprehensive care plans that incorporate specialized nutrition interventions such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation support.
Monitor food preparation processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently while maintaining safety protocols.

Requirements

Certification as a Dietary Manager and Food Protection Professional from an accredited organization.
Proven management experience within dietary services or healthcare settings, preferably in Skilled Nursing or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles to inform care plans and dietary interventions.
Experience supervising staff members in a dietary department
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and the ability to adapt menus for specific health conditions or dietary restrictions.
Knowledge of budgeting processes to effectively manage departmental resources.
