Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, menu planning, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. If you have a love for culinary arts and a desire to help create exceptional dining experiences, we want to hear from you.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Manage food inventory and supplies, ensuring proper storage and adherence to food safety regulations.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.
Collaborate with the catering team for banquet events, ensuring timely and successful execution of all catering orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Help troubleshoot any issues that arise during service, maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within restaurant management or catering environments.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent skills in menu planning and food management.
Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Experience with banquet service is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Passion for culinary arts with a willingness to help others develop their skills in the kitchen.
Bilingual strongly preferred.
Must be available evenings.
Must be available Monday and Thursday
