Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energetic approach will help enhance patient comfort, safety, and well-being while supporting the clinical team with essential nursing tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse patient populations, including geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. All roles are paid positions committed to delivering high-quality care with integrity and enthusiasm.

Duties

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient conditions to report promptly to nursing staff.
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, including catheter care and wound management.
Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those with dementia or behavioral health needs.
Assist with specialized care procedures such as phlebotomy, IV management, or oxygen therapy as trained and authorized.

Skills

Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and basic life support (CPR) certification.
Experience in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly valued.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient service.
Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
