Job Summary

Full time 6 days a week. Monday off.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in traditional and innovative sushi techniques will elevate our dining experience, creating memorable moments for every customer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence and creativity.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation.
Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to uphold quality standards.
Create visually appealing sushi presentations that enhance the dining experience.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently and ensure timely service.
Innovate new sushi recipes and incorporate seasonal ingredients to keep menus fresh and exciting.
Train junior staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and presentation standards to foster team growth.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including fish filleting, rice cooking, and rolling methods.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Experience working with fresh seafood and understanding of ingredient sourcing.
Passion for culinary arts, creativity, and continuous learning in the field of sushi making.

Pay: $6,000.00 per month
