Full Job Description

Yoh Life Sciences is seeking a Quality Control Chemist II for a pharmaceutical client in Houston, TX. This position requires direct pharmaceutical industry experience and hands-on Quality Control experience in a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products while ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and established quality standards. This role requires experience operating and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, FTIR, ICP, CE, TOC, MS, and dissolution systems, with a strong commitment to data integrity, regulatory compliance, and product quality.

Title: Quality Control Chemist II
Duration: Permanent
Pay: $25-$32/hr
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: M-F 8-5pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform and/or assist with analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Utilize analytical laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.
Comply with cGMP regulations and follow all standard operating procedures.
Peer review data generated by other technicians.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation within level of experience.
Perform and/or assist with equipment calibrations and qualifications.
Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline.
2-5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory.
2- 5 years’ experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, CE, ICP, FTIR, TOC, MS, and dissolution apparatus.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail.
