Full Job Description

Seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and drive quality initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on quality leader who thrives in fast-paced operations and is passionate about continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, manufacturing processes, customer interaction, and team leadership within an industrial or electronics manufacturing setting.

Pay:$90,000 – $125,000 annually

Location: Houston, TX

*** DIRECT HIRE ROLE***

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team
Champion a “Quality First” culture throughout the facility
Communicate effectively with customers regarding quality concerns, escalations, audits, and site visits
Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System (QMS), including: CAPA, NCR systems, Internal audits, Training programs
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer-specific quality requirements
Drive quality planning activities including: PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans
Track and report key quality KPIs such as: First Pass Yield, Scrap Rates, Product Returns, Customer Escapes
Improve supplier quality performance and corrective action processes
Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to improve processes and capabilities
Oversee training compliance related to ESD, 5S, warehouse operations, repair processes, and other site requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
6+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality management within a manufacturing environment
Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
Strong knowledge of: CAPA, RCCA, 8D, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flowcharts
Internal auditing experience required
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred
Statistical analysis experience (SPC, DOE, etc.) preferred
IPC workmanship standards experience is a plus
Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
ASQ certifications (QE, RE, QM) are a plus
Strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
