Lead From the Front. Deliver Quality at Scale.

My Fit Foods is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Production Chef to lead high-volume culinary production in our Houston kitchen.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a culinary leader with large-batch cooking experience from a hotel, banquet operation, catering company, commissary, restaurant, or food-production facility.

You do not need to be an Executive Chef or Sous Chef. What matters is your ability to organize large-scale production, lead a team, and consistently execute at a high level.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the floor working alongside the team and keeping production on track.

We produce fresh, ready-to-eat meals that make healthy eating convenient and sustainable. As we expand, we’re building a culinary team capable of delivering the same quality across every meal and market.

What You’ll Own

Lead approximately 6–8 cooks during daily production
Create organized prep and production plans based on volume, timing, sequencing, and labor needs
Ensure food is produced safely, accurately, consistently, and on time
Maintain quality-control, portioning, and food-safety standards
Train, coach, and hold team members accountable
Monitor production and adjust the plan when necessary
Control labor through effective planning and time management
Communicate with Kitchen Managers, culinary leadership, and other departments
Improve production flow, efficiency, and quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen
Build a positive and accountable team culture

What You Bring

Proven high-volume or large-batch cooking experience
Experience leading cooks or kitchen team members
Strong production planning and organizational skills
The ability to maintain quality across hundreds or thousands of portions
Clear, direct, and respectful communication
Confidence enforcing standards and holding people accountable
The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
A hands-on leadership style
Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills
A genuine commitment to food quality and consistency
