Senior Vice President

Position Summary

The Senior Vice President (SVP) will provide strong, strategic leadership for the company and work closely with the Board of Directors, President, and executive leadership team to achieve the organization’s short- and long-term goals. This key executive will play an integral role in shaping company strategy, driving revenue growth, strengthening operations, and ensuring that Norris Training Systems and its affiliated brands continue to deliver exceptional experiences to clients.

The SVP will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that support annual budgets, long-term growth objectives, and future expansion. In addition, this position will provide executive oversight of the company’s products, services, and operations to ensure that client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Some travel between company locations and for business development opportunities is required.

About the Company

Norris Training Systems, LLC, doing business as Norris Conference Centers, Red Oak Ballroom, and The ARK by Norris, has been serving the Texas meetings and events market since 1990.

Our clients view us as a refreshing alternative to traditional hotel meeting space. Our highly successful facilities host more than 11,000 meetings, events, and special celebrations annually and have become preferred destinations for corporations, organizations, and individuals throughout Texas.

We currently own and operate five venues across Texas, with locations in Austin, San Antonio, Katy, and two venues in Houston.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President will:

Partner with the Board of Directors, President, and executive leadership team to establish and execute the company’s strategic vision and long-term growth plans.

Develop and lead sales strategies designed to achieve annual revenue and profitability goals.

Provide executive oversight of operations, products, and services to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across all locations.

Work with the President on financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators, taking appropriate action to achieve company objectives.

Lead, mentor, and inspire senior leaders and management teams while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen operational performance.

Work collaboratively with sales, operations, food and beverage, event services, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment with company goals.

Help maintain and strengthen the company’s reputation as a premier provider of meeting, event, and hospitality services.

Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of new business, venue, and growth opportunities.

Travel as needed to support company operations and leadership teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

Significant management experience in a senior leadership or executive-level role, preferably within the hospitality, meetings, events, venue management, or related service industry.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and executing initiatives that drive organizational growth.

A proven track record of developing successful sales and business development strategies.

Strong financial and business acumen, including experience working with budgets, forecasts, and performance goals.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.

Experience leading complex projects and managing multiple priorities across a growing organization.

A demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and hold teams accountable.

A client-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

The ability to think strategically while remaining willing to engage in the day-to-day realities of a growing, hands-on organization.

Willingness and ability to travel as required.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Senior Vice President will be an accomplished, energetic, and hands-on leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution. This individual will be comfortable working with the Board and executive leadership while also engaging directly with teams across the organization.

They will have a passion for growth, a strong understanding of sales and operations, and the ability to lead a multi-location organization through continued expansion. Most importantly, they will share our commitment to exceptional service and helping create memorable experiences for every client we serve.

Degree required. MBA preferred

Job Type: Full-time
