Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing daily operations, and driving financial performance. Your leadership will foster a welcoming environment that upholds our high standards of service, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve excellence across all departments.

Responsibilities

Oversee the entire hotel operation, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services to ensure seamless service delivery.
Lead and supervise hospitality teams, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to promote a motivated and high-performing workforce.
Manage hotel budgets, including revenue management, expense control, and financial operations to maximize profitability.
Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to ensure an outstanding guest experience that encourages repeat business.
Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and operational efficiency.
Monitor hotel occupancy rates, revenue streams, and market trends to develop strategic plans for growth and improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations; oversee emergency procedures and conduct regular safety audits.
Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, recruitment efforts, and employee relations initiatives.
Maintain excellent communication with staff at all levels through managerial communication practices; handle guest relations issues promptly and professionally.
Oversee night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reconciliation at the end of each day.

Skills

Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guest populations effectively.
Proven experience supervising hospitality operations with a strong background in hotel management or resort experience.
Extensive knowledge of hospitality management principles including revenue management, budgeting, financial management, and human resources.
Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, multi-line phone systems, and front desk operations.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage hospitality teams across multiple departments while fostering a positive work environment.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and managerial communication.
Experience managing hospitality operations budgets along with financial analysis skills for revenue enhancement strategies.
Ability to oversee daily hotel operations such as front desk activities, guest services, night audit procedures, and property maintenance.
Demonstrated ability in managing guest relations to ensure high satisfaction levels aligned with hotel standards.
