Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to success! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage staff to deliver a memorable dining experience. Your leadership will inspire your team, uphold food safety standards, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality management and eager to make a positive impact on both guests and team members. This person must have a strong knowledge of the BOH as the primary role of this position will be a BOH Manager.

Duties

Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
Manage shift schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels for busy periods
Oversee inventory control, food safety compliance, and proper food handling procedures
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
Assist with hiring processes including interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
Monitor food production and kitchen management to maintain high-quality culinary standards
Control budgets, manage costs, and implement strategies to maximize profitability
Support catering, banquet events, or bar services as needed to enhance guest experiences

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS; cash handling expertise required
Demonstrated supervisory skills with a focus on staff training & development
Knowledge of inventory control, food management, and kitchen operations
Excellent customer service skills with a hospitality-oriented mindset
Ability to lead teams effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism
Prior experience in hotel or catering environments is a plus; culinary or food industry background highly valued
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing budgets and operational procedures
