Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Records Manager oversees all aspects of the OSC Hanford Records Management Program, including the development and implementation of strategies, policies, standards, and procedures that ensure compliant, efficient, and sustainable recordkeeping processes. This position leads multiple teams, manages contractual obligations, and maintains strong relationships with DOE and customer stakeholders.

This position may be filled at the Manager or Senior Manager level based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

Typical duties and responsibilities could include:

Lead and manage the full Records Management organization
Oversee contractual, technical, and budgetary obligations
Ensure timely, accurate delivery of all contract deliverables
Develop and implement Records Management strategies, policies, and procedures
Create forward‑looking approaches aligned with emerging DOE directives and standards
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, plans, and processes
Maintain qualified staffing and cross‑trained backup coverage for continuity of operations
Build strong relationships with customers through consistent communication
Foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture
Communicate proactively with the Program Manager and internal/external partners
Promote and uphold a safety-conscious work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Advanced understanding of Records Management laws, processes, and systems
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret complex information and make sound independent decisions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to lead teams through multiple high‑priority projects
Ability to motivate and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
Strong time management, organizational skills, and confidentiality practices
Ability to balance multiple teams, deadlines, and stakeholder needs

Physical Abilities

Sufficient fine motor skills for the use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
Visual and communications ability adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
Ability to travel by vehicle or aircraft, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications

Manager

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire.
Must be able to obtain Department of Energy PIV access badge.

Senior Manager

Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire.
Must be able to obtain Department of Energy PIV access badge.

Compensation:

Manager- $95,367.68- $143,106.00

Senior Manager- $105,430.00- $153,720.00
