About the Role

GenFed is building a more consistent, practical approach to developing employees across our organization.

The Workforce Development Manager will lead that effort by helping build and manage our workforce capability function. This role translates real work into clear, usable tools that improve confidence, consistency, manager effectiveness, and employee performance.

This is not a traditional training coordinator role. Success in this position depends on understanding how work gets done, building practical solutions, and helping managers and employees succeed in real-world environments.

This role bridges Human Resources and Operations by helping ensure employees have the knowledge, tools, and support they need to succeed.

The person selected will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape how GenFed approaches onboarding, workforce development, and manager support for years to come.

This position exercises significant independent judgment in identifying organizational capability needs, establishing priorities, developing practical solutions, and recommending improvements that support the organization's strategic objectives.

What You'll Do

Partner with leaders across the organization to understand capability needs and identify gaps in knowledge, consistency, or readiness
Observe work in real environments to better understand challenges and develop practical solutions
Develop and maintain practical training materials, job aids, guides, and learning resources
Lead and continuously improve onboarding processes to create a consistent employee experience
Manage and optimize learning content and assignments within the Learning Management System (Litmos)
Identify patterns in questions, errors, or feedback and address root causes through better training, clearer processes, or improved tools
Evaluate workforce development requests and recommend solutions based on organizational impact, root causes, and business priorities
Support the rollout and successful adoption of new products, services, systems, and ways of working through practical learning support
Equip managers with practical tools and resources that strengthen coaching, development, and accountability
Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen employee capability, consistency, and workforce readiness
Manage priorities and execution within the workforce capability function, exercising independent judgment and a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
Build strong working relationships across departments and serve as a trusted partner to operational leaders
