Join Our Team as an Accountant – Do What You Love While Being Surrounded by a Dynamic Sales Culture!

Are you a detail-oriented, numbers type who loves to reconcile accounts, solve accounting mysteries, and prepare reports that impact leadership decisions? A dynamic, medium-sized brokerage is seeking an Accountant who’s ready to manage the financials behind the scenes and complete implementation of a new accounting platform company-wide. Rather than stepping into someone else’s shoes, you’ll have the opportunity to design reports and set up your workflow to create efficiencies for yourself and the company!

What You'll Do:

As our Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in the daily operations of the brokerage. You’ll touch everything from property management to office maintenance. There’s never a dull day in this industry!

Your responsibilities will include:

Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts such as payroll liabilities and clearing accounts
Processing agent commission payments
Recording expenses and deposits in QuickBooks/Brokerage Engine on a daily or weekly basis
Recording monthly journal entries including payroll, revenue allocations, etc.
Reconciling asset and liability accounts
Producing monthly financial reports, including balance sheet and income statement, for owner
Preparing weekly sales reports for management
Maintaining records for and reconciling trust accounts
Managing payroll setup, submission, review, and journal entries
Paying vendor bills and recording
Facilitating payments to landlords and vendors for property management clients
Billing agents
Collecting documentation for preparation of tax returns by a third party firm
Conducting basic HR tasks, such as ordering background checks, maintaining records, and tracking PTO
Establishing workflows for efficiency and cost savings

About You:

We’re looking for a versatile, self-motivated accounting professional with a knack for numbers, attention to detail, and a desire to help grow the company. You’re not afraid to make suggestions and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
Three to five years accounting experience
Proficiency in Quickbooks
