Well-respected Restaurant Group is looking for a highly talented and creative Bar Manager at our Upscale Concept Restaurant featuring Wood Fired Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Levant Cuisine in a gorgeous revitalized property in Historic Downtown Gettysburg.

Middle Eastern cuisine is known for its bountiful mezze plates full of seasonal produce, intriguing spices and big flavors, shared among family and friends. Be a part of this exciting Concept! Jamilie Syrian Kitchen and The Upper Crust: A Sophisticated Modern Vibe

Located in its elegantly restored downtown location, the Upper Crust has a sophisticated modern vibe, with a little retro-industrial thrown in for good measure. Playful pops of color abound with many of the building’s original architectural elements reused in new and inventive ways. An open-air kitchen invites guests to watch the chefs prepare the seasonal menu with panache. The staff’s singular focus is taking care of the guests — neighbors, friends, family — and creating a place for everyone to eat well and connect.

Bar Manager Responsibilities

A staff leader with strong human relations skills who maintains a calm, professional demeanor at all times
Ensures guest enjoys gracious, friendly & helpful service and leaves looking forward to their next visit
All drinks served by the bar team are delicious and prepared according to our recipes with consistent quantities, garnishing, and presentation
Verifies all alcohol is served safely
Establishes and manages a team atmosphere of cooperation and fun among the bar team members and with all staff in other departments
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the bar, maintaining overall alcohol costs of 24% or lower
Orders and received all bar products, conduct an accurate monthly inventory on the first of every month, maintains written recipes with current costs for all beverage items, and maintains precise menu information
Keeps bar sales growing and meets quarterly sales targets as set by the owner and general manager.
Superior mixology skills and experience and develops weekly bar specials and seasonal new bar menu items to create customer excitement
Leads and implements sales promotions at the bar
Directly responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized and fully-stocked bar
A team-first mentality and a love of people, learning, and food
Experience: 3-4 years prior experience in an upscale casual dining environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $5.00 - $10.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
